Creado en 2003, el Festival Mediarte se lleva a cabo cada año en la ciudad de Monterrey. Festival de artes electrónicas, tiene como vocación presentar un panorama de la creación contemporánea que recurre a las nuevas tecnologías y a las herramientas multimedia. Ofrece propuestas pluridisciplinarias: cultura digital, instalaciones multimedia, performances sonoros y búsqueda de nuevas formas de interacción entre lo acústico y lo electrónico.
